Scott Dumas
Founder & Principal
Background & journey
Originally from Massachusetts, Scott received his degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Following a 7-year Wall Street stint with Fidelity Investments in NYC and experiencing the attacks of September 11th, he and his wife chose Central New York for its culture, scenery, affordable real estate, and proximity to Dinosaur Barbeque.
He spent 11 years with The Pyramid Management Group across development, finance, leasing/sales and property management, then worked with WS Development of Chestnut Hill, MA, focusing on high-end lifestyle centers throughout New England.

After nearly 20 years with big companies in real estate, accounting & finance and hundreds of transactions, Scott went out on his own in 2020, seeing an opportunity in the business brokerage market.
Current Focus
A licensed commercial broker serving the underserved M&A market throughout Central New York, real estate brokerage, development, property management and business brokerage.
Less "deal-driven," more focused on the long game and lasting client relationships. Scott lives in Fayetteville with his wife and two daughters, and volunteers on his local Planning Board.

Professional profile
Sheri Rodriguez is a Real Estate Salesperson with Papyrus Business & Real Estate Solutions, working alongside Scott to serve buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants across Central New York.
Sheri also serves as Chief Growth Officer at Potentiametrics, where her work centers on population health, value-based care and managed care contracting. That healthcare leadership background gives her a practical understanding of what medical practices need from their real estate.
She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) and a Master of Arts (MA), and brings a client-first approach with the same commitment to discretion and personal service that defines Papyrus.

In Loving Memory
Cheeto recently passed away after more than a decade of faithful service to Papyrus. He was a beloved member of our team and our family, and we are proud to honor him here as our Director of Operations & Security, Emeritus. His memory lives on in every walk, every wagging tail, and every mail carrier who still glances nervously at the front door.
Born in Tennessee, Cheeto joined Papyrus in 2012. Though he never lost his heavy southern accent, he maintained a professional demeanor and excellent table manners throughout his career. In his spare time he enjoyed long walks, making TikTok videos, and providing security services by barking at the mail carrier.
